Welcome to Ekklesia. Thank you for taking the time to understand more about what we do at Ekklesia.

One street near my home in Arizona is almost a Las Vegas Strip of churches - one after another. How does a person choose? Christians may take months to find a church; imagine if you have never been to church, where do you start start? Would you walk into just any church building? How would you know which one is for real? How do you know they’re not a cult? How does one get spiritual guidance if they don’t know where to go? Reading Acts 17, we see that Paul is in the city of Athens waiting for his ministry partners. Walking down a street he discovered the different things which the men of Athens paid homage. His spirit was provoked enough that he continued to meet them where they lived life and did business. Daily, Paul engaged in discussion with the people as they talked about deep philosophical matters. Because of his discussion, they request to hear more and brought him to their friends. He observed they had some spiritual tendencies, so he told them about the true God of creation, a God that is not made by man. A God that has victory over death, seeks a repentive heart and is personal. That day, many people were saved.

Apply Paul’s account in today’s America. Where can people go to talk about spiritual and deep things? Imagine if someone could be available to discuss, in everyday evironments where they felt comfortable. Our calling is that people are more important than where we meet. This is ekklesia.– Steve
